Big John and the 39th Street Blues Band
Big John Amaro has spent many hours playing and singing the blues at Blues Alley. So it seemed natural for the patrons and the musicians of the club to call Big John's band "The 39th Street Blues Band". That was back in 1986, and the band has seen many changes in these past years.
A blues player from the start, Big John Amaro has always been used to the ups and downs of the music business. None-the-less, when he made the music business his career, he knew that it wasn't going to be easy..That was 39 years ago, and now Big John is finally on his way to the top. The next stop towards his goal, was to find that perfect mesh of musicianship. That was no easy job, since Big John had played with some of the finest players in Kansas City. After many years, he has found the musicians it take to reach the perfect mesh.

8:00 p.m. to Midnight:
LLORD NaKCOR is an entertaining, rock power trio from the Kansas City area that covers all the bases with classic rock, newer rock and dance music.  The group features front-man Johnny Ehlert, formerly of the groups: RAMPAGE, which had an album of Johnny's music on the charts at #29 in Great Britain and on a movie soundtrack, SINGSING, which had airplay on 30 major radio stations around the U.S., and JOHNNY AND THE GASMAN, a fun, variety duo which performed for the last 10 years all over the Midwest including many dates at the Lake of the Ozarks. LLORD NaKCOR is "Rock and Roll" spelled backwards.

WOODCARVING

Watch three Woodcarvers put their craft on display from Noon-5pm with the sculptures being auctioned off at our silent auction that ends at 6:00pm. Woodcarving was held on original ride date of May 15, 2010.
